He chatters away about things important to a six year old
I stare out the window
A young man walks by
He looks so much like our Michael
Overwhelming sadness descends on me
Suddenly I feel old
Life, life has made me old

ReplyDeleteI know the feeling. Yesterday I was told a friend of many years took his life. I have not talked to him for a few years and I am stunned...actually a combination of stunned and numb...guess the numb part is age kicking in. No notification for this post either!
